A Note From The President | Standing Strong
What does it mean to have a second chance?
For the men at 4:13 Strong, having a second chance is more than an opportunity to do things differently. A second chance is an open door to a better life. It’s hope. It’s redemption. It’s everything!
In the real world, there are so many distractions everywhere trying to pull our guys off the right path, but 4:13 Strong creates the discipline and structure they need to stay focused on their goals. It’s a lifeline pulling men out of the depths onto a new foundation, rooted in faith.
Our program is not easy. It takes determination, drive, passion, and work to make it through because we know life doesn’t change based on wishful thinking. Hard work makes a lasting change and we see that every day in the lives of the men at 4:13 Strong.
Together, we are restoring lives.
God has called us to be a part of a greater story by restoring lives. We are so thankful to partner with supporters, like you, who help give a hand up to men working to make a difference for their families and their futures.
This year, as we began planning our annual fundraising event, we had to face a hard reality. Meeting in person wasn’t an option, so we took our event virtual. To be honest, this took a lot of faith and prayer. We weren’t sure what the outcome was going to be, but we were reminded of how God provides.
We were overwhelmed by the support. Our Standing Strong virtual event had over 2,400 views. It was an incredible night of stories and celebration as we heard Ronald, from our current class at 4:13 Strong, and Lamar, a 4:13 Strong graduate, share their second chance stories. We even sang along to the original song, “Second Chances.”
Your generosity makes a difference.
Because of generous supporters, like you, we were able to reach and exceed our fundraising goal of $80,000! Thank you for showing us the strength and encouragement a unified community can create.
Our guys want their future to be different from their past. With your support, 4:13 Strong gives them the second chance they need to build a better life.
It is because of our supporters we’re able to continue to provide hope in Nashville for at-risk men. As our 4:13 Strong alumnus Lamar said, “Without you guys, 4:13 Strong, and the support of 4:13 Strong, I would not be the man I am today.”
With your support we continue to build stronger men, stronger families, and a stronger Nashville.
