Beverly Richardson

Beverly is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with the 21st JDPD’s office, where she works as a forensic social worker supporting clients who are navigating the criminal justice system- often at some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Her work focuses on reentry, helping people reconnect to treatment, stability, and hope as they work towards a fresh start.

Social work is her second career, but it is one that feels the most like home. After many years in dental hygiene, she returned to school, earned her MSW from University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2022, and received LMSW licensure in 2023. What began as a career change quickly became a passion for advocacy, second chances, and walking alongside people who are rebuilding their lives.

She has lived in Nashville for over 20 years with her husband Patrick and their four grown children. These days, their home is happily ruled by two fur babies, Cookie and Sullivan. She brings compassion, humor, honesty, and deep respect to her work- and believes strongly that it’s never too late for new beginnings.
