Doug Williams

Doug Williams is a tenured Associate Professor at Volunteer State Community College where he serves as Associate Chair of the Math & Science Department (Gallatin campus) and has taught for twenty-nine years. Doug has a M.P.H. from Meharry Medical College, a B.A. in Theology from American Baptist College, and a B.S. in Biology from Tennessee State University. Doug is an ordained Elder and serves faithfully at his church, Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Doug is a long-standing community volunteer and mentor; he serves as a board member of Be A Helping Hand, Inc, and a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Doug has been married to his wife, Liggett, twenty-five years of which they have three children.
