Ed Mitchell

Ed is a South Florida native and was transferred to Nashville with a private land development company to manage projects in Middle Tennessee and Kentucky. After a successful career, he decided to leave the industry to pursue his passion for social justice. Ed holds a degree in Social Entrepreneurship from Belmont University where he is currently an MBA student and Graduate Research Assistant. He is leading research on a longitudinal economic impact study of recidivism that aims to inform public policies related to criminal justice reform. He is passionate about measuring social impact and helping social sector leaders with data and analytic support to transform lives and affect positive change in the community. Ed lives in Franklin with his wife, Ashlyn and their son, John. He and his family attend Brentwood Baptist Church.
