Joe Umberger

Joe Umberger moved to Nashville from Austin, Texas in 2018 where he worked in the Substance Abuse treatment field for twenty-five years. Starting in 1994 as a behavioral health technician, he quickly developed a passion for working with those negatively affected by drug and alcohol addiction. After attending school for training as a counselor he was licensed by the state as a Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) for several years before returning to school to pursue a degree in anthropology. Returning to the field in 2010, Joe worked in the management and operations area of treatment facilities and sober living homes until joining the 4:13 Strong staff as Case Manager in 2019.
